TOTALENERGIES - QUAI D'ORSAY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM 2023

the French oil company TotalEnergies, in collaboration with the French Embassy and Campus France in the UAE, is offering two scholarships to two UAE national to pursue a Master’s degree in one of the following programs at Ecole Polytechnique, one of the most prestigious universities in France. This university is listed among the recommended universities abroad by Abu Dhabi Education Department.

Environmental Engineering and Sustainability Management

The Program provides students with real-world technical expertise on environmental issues, including soil and water pollution diagnosis, and treatment and valorization processes, as well as in-depth understanding of the economic and social challenges surrounding their development. In addition to the technical courses (very engineering oriented), students also study courses about international regulations, ethical issues, management, innovation and entrepreneurship.

Energy Environment: Science Technology and Management

This Program offers you real-world technical expertise in environmental issues and renewable energy sources, as well as in-depth understanding of the economic, social and geopolitical challenges surrounding their development.

Please find below all the details related to the scholarship program.

Academic requirements

• Hold a bachelor degree of at least three years having obtained 180 ECTS with a solid background in science and/or engineering.
• A minimum of 3.2 GPA.
• Applicants may apply in the same year they obtain their degree. 

Language requirements

• English proficiency: IELTS (academic) 6.5, TOEFL 90. Scores must date no earlier than two years prior to the start of the program. French language proficiency is not required.

Please note that all applicants must be aged less than 25 years old.

Procedure

• Create an account on Polytechnique application website. Please use the same email address for your application and any enquiries to Polytechnique. 
  You can complete the application process in multiple sessions and in any order you choose.
• Fill in the online application form. (Printed copies of the application form are not available.)
• Upload all the required documents. (See below the attached document). Please note that the required documents are the same for both master’s programs.

Application deadline:

• Admissibility Jury selected applicants are invited to join Polytechnique for an interview conducted by academic directors and admission staff.
• You can initiate your application at the dates mentioned above. However, you will only be able to finalize it within the above deadlines.
• Kindly note that you can only apply for each program once per year. You may apply to a different program, but you are not allowed to submit another application for a program that you have already applied to.
• We advise that you start as early as possible, it may take time to gather all supporting documents necessary to your application. 

The application processing fee : 90 € / 340 AED

You can pay by credit card. Please note that students must bear the application fee. If the student is selected and gets an official admission from Polytechnqiue, TotalEnergies UAE will proceed with the reimbursement of the application processing fee.

Please note that in case you are not selected for the master’s program, the application fees are not refundable.

Each year, scholarships are awarded to the best. They take the form of:

• Monthly stipend covering living expenses.

In addition, TotalEnergies will support you with:

• The cost of an airplane ticket in economy class at the beginning and end of your studies.
• The cost of a round-trip economy class airfare for annual holidays.
