French language in the UAE
UAE and France have close ties, and both countries work together in different sectors specially in cultural and educational ones. The UAE joined the International Organization of Francophonie as an observing member. This particular status aims to strengthen the profile in the Francophone world and will lead to new opportunities for co-operation in culture, education, and economic development in the future. Moreover, 2018 was an important year and landmark for the launch of French language teaching in the UAE. A pilot phase program has been implemented to introduce French language in all public schools. This initiative was launched as part of the UAE-France cultural dialogue. This step indicates to the excellent franco-emirati cooperation to promote the french language which is today a language of the future.
